The Academic Registrar will be responsible for managing student records, academic transcripts, and data reporting. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Student Record Keeping: Maintain and update student records, oversee registration, and ensure compliance with academic policies.
- Data Analysis: Generate and analyze student performance data, create reports for stakeholders, and support decision-making.
- System Maintenance: Ensure smooth operation of student information systems (PowerSchool, Canvas) and implement necessary upgrades.
- Graduation Process: Audit student grades, verify credits, and manage graduation requirements.
- Academic Policy Development: Review and revise academic guidelines, and ensure compliance with student data regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with academic departments, university guidance teams, and external partners.
- Technology Support: Support and improve the use of academic systems and databases for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Uphold ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive student information and academic records.
- Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in responding to changing academic policies, regulations, and priorities.
- Provide leadership and guidance in interpreting and implementing academic policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding in addressing student needs, concerns, and inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in academic administration or student records management.
- Strong knowledge of student information systems PowerSchool, and Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Moodle).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Experience with academic policies, compliance, and graduation processing.
