Job Title: Laboratory Analytical Chemist

Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Analytical Chemist to join our team at SGS in Randfontein. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex analytical tasks and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing samples using various techniques, including AAS and LECO, to determine their chemical composition
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Recording and reporting analytical results in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborating with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory processes
  • Developing and implementing new methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field
  • At least 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a testing laboratory environment
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality management systems and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literate in LIMS, Word, and Excel
