Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 per annum

Job Description
  • This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client's team and contribute to their quality management efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and Process Compliance
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Audit systems, processes, and products on-site according to a defined schedule.
  • Monitor adherence to optimal process settings and controls, promoting continuous improvement.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained through regular auditing of various standards.
Information Management & Direction Focus
  • Analyze data trends and identify focus areas for improvement drives.
  • Circulate data and management reports to share information on focus areas and needs for improvement.
  • Control all quality-related documentation in the plant.
Management of Quality at Source
  • Develop and implement quality tools to assist with improvement drives on the shop floor.
  • Monitor, measure, and trend performances to highlight and reduce risks and concerns.
  • Maintain quality registers, distribution matrices, and relevant boundary samples.
  • Conduct MSA studies and SPC studies on processes/products with special characteristics.
Business Management
  • Develop and implement business improvement plans to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Coordinate quality-related training modules for various levels of competency in quality tools and techniques.
People Management
  • Manage individual, team, and departmental performance to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Compile and update performance contracts and individual development plans.
  • Determine training needs of the Department.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage sub-standard performance.
  • Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels.
  • Ensure discipline is maintained in the department.
  • Resolve grievances and disputes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • National Diploma in Quality Management or Engineering
  • Trained Auditor (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, VDA 6.3:2016)
