Job Description

Strategic Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Professional to join our team. As a key member of the finance division, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and reporting, with experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, as well as overseeing income and deferred tax calculations. You will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation and submission of provisional tax returns and annual IT14 returns, as well as overseeing the submission of all statutory returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Oversee income and deferred tax calculations, assist in the preparation and submission of provisional tax returns and annual IT14 returns, and ensure timely submission of all statutory returns.
  • Reporting Requirements: Assist with IFRS and other reporting requirements, including disclosures at interim and year-end.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assist in the drafting and implementation of policies related to financial systems and procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified CA with a minimum of 3 years post-article experience.
  • Experience: Experience in corporate finance environment and knowledge of IFRS reporting.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Income tax, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Draftworx, JDE/Insight reporting, and Cognos.
