Assistant Project Manager - Solar Energy Specialist

Join Eosol Group, a leading renewable energy developer, in our mission to create sustainable energy solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our team in the successful execution of our 148MW solar PV project in Limpopo, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing the solar PV project, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Contribute to project schedule development and maintenance, tracking progress and identifying potential risks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project activities, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operation.
  • Monitor project performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Project Manager on status, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Support budget management, tracking expenditures and assisting in cost control efforts.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and local authorities, to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.
  • Participate in site visits and meetings, providing on-the-ground support and insight to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, proposing solutions to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all stages of the project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar power projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic technologies and their application in large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-driven project execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
