Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment in a factory maintenance environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Plan, organize, and execute preventative maintenance activities for both mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and optimize production efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of spares/materials to minimize delays and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Trend Analysis: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to analyze periodic trends in breakdowns and expenditure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing recommendations to enhance overall performance.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to daily emergencies and urgent work requests, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and extend lifespan.
  • Safety Standards: Uphold 5S System and safe working standards at all times, promoting a culture of safety awareness within the team.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication channels with the Maintenance Manager, keeping them informed of abnormal or critical situations and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that maintenance procedures and documentation comply with relevant Quality Assurance standards and Safety Standards.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical Expertise: Possess strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, PLC's, mechanical installations, general buildings, and utilities.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
  • Communication: Showcase exceptional verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and information sharing.
Compensation and Benefits:
