Financial Reporting Accountant

At IT Ridge Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial reports that provide valuable insights into our organization's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file statutory returns, including tax returns and financial statements.
  • Review and maintain the audit file to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare stakeholder reports for various entities, including the Board, management, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Prepare corporate annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and our organization's accounting policies.
  • Coordinate the audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Assist in implementing new accounting standards and preparing implementation plans and related deliverables.
  • Co-develop best practices, systems, and procedures to meet business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree with completed articles.
  • CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience, including 3 years of articles and 2 years of post-article experience in a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Tax, Auditing, and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Proficient in financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical and creative approach.
  • High degree of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Effective risk management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
