Job Title: Intermediate to Senior SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our team at Diverse Consulting Solutions.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a variety of projects, utilizing their skills and experience in SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, including 3D CAD modeling, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including 3D CAD modeling, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems
  • Work on a variety of projects, utilizing skills and experience in SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis
  • Collaborate with automation engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions
  • Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable company standards using SolidWorks
  • Interface with customers, vendors, production managers, and procurement to find optimal solutions
  • Confer with automation engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
  • Work to company CAD and PDM standards
  • Specify system components or direct modifications of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Requirements:
  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree, NFQ Level 8
  • Designing experience using SolidWorks
  • 1-8+ years' background experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Working designing experience in 3D CAD modeling SolidWorks + Finite Element Analysis + electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic control systems
  • Experience within the Automation industry Engineering systems - advantage
  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
Salary:

Salary dependent on skills and qualifications and how many years of working experience in the Automation engineering environments and subject to all the requirements of this vacancy only
