Care Specialist for Visually Impaired Individuals

Job OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Auxiliary Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support services to visually impaired individuals, assist with psychosocial interventions, and work closely with social workers to ensure the well-being of our beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to visually impaired individuals.
- Facilitate support groups and community outreach programs to promote social interaction and inclusion.
- Conduct home visits and assessments to identify the needs of our beneficiaries.
- Assist with referrals and link beneficiaries to relevant services, such as healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
- Work alongside social workers to implement intervention plans and achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness.
- Certificate in Social Auxiliary Work (SACSSP registered).
- Experience working with people with disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
- A valid driver's license is advantageous.
