Job Description
We are seeking an experienced piping designer to join our team as a Lead Piping Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various mining and minerals processing projects.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Designing and developing piping systems, including creating detailed designs and conducting pipe stress analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, including ECSA registration.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior designers and engineers.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in piping design, preferably in the mining and minerals processing industry.
- ECSA registration is required.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in word, databases, spreadsheets, and discipline-related application software (e.g., piping stress software).
- Strong technical competence, with the ability to extend core engineering theory to new and complex equipment.
- Experience with lined piping systems, such as Ceramic, Rubber, HDPE, and Copon Lining.
