Project Growth is seeking an experienced Financial Data Specialist to handle financial data entry, reporting, and day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing financial data across multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Data Management: Enter, categorize, and maintain financial data across multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  2. Expense Categorization: Understand the nuances of business operations to properly categorize expenses and maintain accurate records.

  3. Reporting: Create weekly financial reports, such as cash flow summaries (cash in, cash out), and prepare monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets.

  4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage bills and invoice payments, including sending wire transfers and following up with clients on outstanding payments.

  5. Tax Knowledge: Apply knowledge of US taxes to maintain compliance and assist with preparation for tax filings.

  6. System Utilization: Use QuickBooks for financial management and leverage tools like Slack and Notion for communication and task organization.

What Success Looks Like:

  1. Accurate Financial Records: All financial data is entered and categorized correctly, providing a clear view of each business's financial health.

  2. Timely Reporting: Weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash flow summaries, P&L statements, and balance sheets, are delivered on time.

  3. Efficient Payments Management: Bills and invoices are paid promptly, and client payments are tracked and followed up effectively.

  4. Compliance and Preparedness: Financial records are maintained in compliance with US tax requirements, and the client is well-prepared for tax filings.

  5. Seamless Collaboration: Effective use of tools like Slack and Notion (where applicable) to communicate and stay aligned with the team.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  1. 2+ years experience as a bookkeeper, preferably managing finances for multiple businesses.

  2. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Skills:

  1. Knowledge of US taxes and compliance requirements.

  2. Expertise in financial data entry, categorization, and reporting.

  3. Ability to create detailed financial reports, including cash flow summaries, P&L statements, and balance sheets.

  4. Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable, including wire transfers and payment follow-ups.

  5. Comfortable using a VPN for secure system access.

  6. Familiarity with Slack and Notion is a plus but not required.

  7. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
