At the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Civil Engineering Professor to join our team. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Civil Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience in higher education or 2 years of industrial experience in the Civil Engineering Industry. You should also be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or register within 12 months of employment.

Your key responsibilities will include lecturing Civil Engineering subjects, developing innovative teaching materials, contributing to curriculum and programme development, and promoting community participation, linkages, outreach, and industry liaison. You will also be required to supervise and mentor students, conduct assessment and academic development, assist with departmental administration, and participate in quality assurance activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in English (written and spoken), computer literacy in MS Office, good organizational and time management skills, and an aptitude for continuous learning.
