About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Engineer to join our development team at ABC Worldwide. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge web applications using PHP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable PHP applications using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of PHP, Laravel, and related technologies to ensure the highest level of technical expertise.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in web development and apply this knowledge to improve our technology stack.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a PHP software developer with a strong background in object-oriented programming.
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Experience with PHP MVC frameworks like Symfony/Laravel and a strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure providers, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of Docker and container-orchestration technologies like Docker Swarm or K8s.
  • Experience with Agile and lean methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
