HSEQ Director

TalentCru is seeking a dynamic HSEQ Director to oversee comprehensive health, safety, environmental, and quality strategies across our operations.

With a proven track record of enforcing the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South-Africa and its regulations, you will lead our teams in maintaining compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering an attractive salary package in the region of R1,200,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.

• Grade 12 is essential for this role
• You should have a minimum related 3-year qualification and relevant professional Occupational Health and Safety qualification, preferably a diploma or bachelor's degree qualification, with 3-5 years leadership experience
• A minimum of 8 – 10 years relevant working experience with a proven track record on key outputs and disciplines is required
• You must have strong communications skills, including interpersonal skills, presentation skills, stakeholder management, and management reporting
• Excellent relationship building, teamwork, and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role
• You should be able to foster an overall spirit of collaboration amongst teams
• You will work comfortably with business executives and be able to push back in a professional and diplomatic way
• Your ability to balance short-term and long-term implications of individual decisions is crucial
• Attention to detail and a keen observer who knows that spotting the little things can yield big results is necessary
• You should have organization skills in keeping investigations thorough, on schedule, and in accordance with established procedures, and maintain compliance that will satisfy regulatory requirements
• Proven broad knowledge of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 and related schedules is required
• In-depth knowledge of international standards relating to ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, or ISO45001 is also necessary
• Practical working knowledge of legislative frameworks, including the Telecoms Act, JSE Regulations, OHSAS Act, and other legislation and policies impacting a Tower Company or Telecommunications, with a working knowledge of the telecommunication service provider requirements within these environments is expected
