Job Summary:

Doncour Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Crane Millwright to join our team in a Heavy Industry setting. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our overhead cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform first-line maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Repair and maintain crane gearboxes, electrical circuits, and other related equipment
  • Replace overhead crane wheels and perform routine maintenance on crane components
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal crane performance
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of all equipment
  • Fault-find and troubleshoot crane-related issues, including electrical and mechanical problems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in crane maintenance

Requirements:

  • Trade-tested Millwright certification
  • N3 qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience in crane maintenance
  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining crane gearboxes, electrical circuits, and other related equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, and other crane-related systems
  • LMI certification or studying towards completion (an advantage)
