We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Supervisor to join our team at the Agricultural Research Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise security services: Oversee outsourced security guarding services to ensure they meet our standards and protocols.
  • Conduct site inspections: Regularly inspect sites to identify potential security risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Draft job descriptions: Create detailed job descriptions for security personnel, outlining their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Organize meetings: Organize monthly meetings with security teams to discuss ongoing projects and address any concerns.
  • Monitor daily activities: Regularly monitor security daily routine activities to ensure they are conducted in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform observations and assessments: Conduct job observations and performance assessments of security officers to evaluate their performance and provide feedback.
  • Assist with administration: Assist with service provider administration, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other contractual requirements.
  • Conduct patrols and inspections: Conduct security patrols and inspections to identify potential security breaches and respond accordingly.
  • Ensure access control: Supervise the security functions pertaining to access control, key control, office security, and contingency planning.
  • Maintain electronic systems: Maintain existing electronic security systems and assist in project implementation to enhance our security infrastructure.
  • Identify risks and threats: Identify potential risks and threats to our organization's security and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Assess vulnerabilities: Assess vulnerabilities in our security and capacity to counteract them, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Compile reports: Compile monthly and quarterly reports on security operations, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Respond to security breaches: Respond promptly to reported security breaches, conducting investigations as necessary.
  • Liaise with law enforcement: Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Comply with security standards: Ensure compliance with security standards, including Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS), Minimum Physical Security Standards (MPSS), and our security policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience in security management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
