Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician

Estimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Express Employment Professionals (Witbank) in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate work orders and develop repair plans for diesel engines and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, interpret results, and provide suitable solutions for complex issues.
  • Inspect and repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and associated parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel balancing, and brake checks.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Valid drivers' license and reliable vehicle
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working on commercial vehicles.
  • Knowledge and experience with DAF, FAW, PowerStar, UD, and Iveco trucks.
