Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Top Talent Professional Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing effective maintenance systems within customer facilities, ensuring SLA delivery, and developing and maintaining standards for operations, asset care, and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage engineering specifications in the region for new assets and the maintenance of existing assets
  • Complete highly technical maintenance and statutory asset audits and inspections
  • Investigate root cause failures and submit failure reports
  • Develop and implement mitigations and recommendations resulting from root cause failure analysis completion
  • Identify maintenance risks on client equipment for evaluation and resolution via Fire Resistance Level & Risk Notification processes
  • Project involvement end-to-end as per request from Project Managers
  • Review and contribute to scopes of works, maintenance strategies, and maintenance tactics
  • React to major equipment failures as a first responder to return to service as soon as possible
  • Manage vendors, suppliers, contractors, and OEMs to bring equipment back to service and manage specifications for operations, maintenance, and extension of asset life cycle

Requirements

  • National Diploma: Mechanical/Electrical or related formal qualification
  • Refrigeration Trade Test
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid SA Driver's License
  • 3yrs relevant engineering experience in facilities maintenance
  • 5yrs relevant engineering experience
  • Engineering maintenance, CRM & Property Management
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
  • SAP knowledge
  • OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
