Workshop Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to join our team at CARtime in Hillcrest, Kwa-zulu Natal.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in mechanical and automotive services to take on a leadership role and drive the success of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, including managing staff, maintaining equipment, and coordinating repairs
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and labour hours worked
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong mechanical background, preferably in vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Computer literacy
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of R15,000.00 per month, working 7 days a week from Monday to Friday (07:00-17:30) and Saturday (07:30-13:00).
