Actuarial Expert

Located in KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, this exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Actuarial Specialist to join our team at TLT Appointing.

Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Actuarial Specialist to perform various actuarial tasks, including monthly TP calculations, quarterly SAM valuations, annual valuations, experience investigations, CBR returns, and more. The ideal candidate will have considerable progress with actuarial examinations and 3-4 years of experience within a Life/Non-Life insurer.

• Perform and review monthly TP calculations (Non-Life & Life – IFRS17)
• Perform and review quarterly SAM valuations and returns
• Complete annual valuations as well as QRTs and QRRs
• Perform and review experience investigations
• Complete quarterly CBR returns as well as prepare for the OMNI CBR returns
• Assist group finance with completion of the half-year and annual Group SAM returns
• Perform the annual ORSA process (including associated modelling and reviewing of risk registers, relevant policies, risk appetite statements, standard formula validations, etc.)
• Negotiate the annual Non-Life catastrophe reinsurance treaty renewal
• Analyse and report on claims and complaints in line with the PPR requirements as well as propose improvements to data / systems to improve data quality / availability and processes

• Considerable progress with actuarial examinations (Completed at least A100 & A200, ideally also A311)
• 3-4 years' actuarial experience within a Life/Non-Life insurer (with experience in two or more of the following areas: SAM, IFRS17, ORSA, Valuations (Life/Non-Life) and AOS/EV calculations, Prophet Coding, Insurance jobs)
