Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team at HR Genie. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Development:
    • Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights to our business stakeholders.
    • Create data models to support the reporting needs of various business units.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
  • Data Integration:
    • Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, Azure, etc.) and integrate data for reporting purposes.
    • Implement and manage data refresh schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data availability and quality.
    • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, including query optimization and efficient data model design.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI services and reports to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reports, data models, and processes.
    • Create user guides and training materials for business users.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in business intelligence and reporting, specifically using Power BI.
    • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
    • Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
