Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping our industry-standard software solutions.

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of GIM Suite
  • Provide technical support to users on the GIM Suite solution
  • Conduct detailed requirements gathering workshops
  • Advise on Geological Information Management best practice and design a GIM Suite configuration to satisfy client requirements
  • Implement the GIM Suite solution
  • Train GIM Suite users
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualification/s in software engineering or IT
  • Detailed understanding of SQL Server RDBMS and advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server environments
  • Knowledge of the global natural resources sector, specifically mining and geology (beneficial)
  • A passport, as there will be travel opportunities
  • The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
