About the Role
This position involves supervising maintenance, repair, and reconditioning of machines, as well as directing and deploying the activities of operators and manufacturing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with suppliers and contractors regarding maintenance spares, fabrication, and projects.
  • Manage maintenance staff and assist with electrical staff in the absence of the Electrical Supervisor.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient PM (preventative maintenance) and react to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Assist the maintenance Engineer with corrective actions and improvement projects.
  • Maintain premises, including painting and repairs as required.
  • Plan preventive maintenance schedules on production equipment.
  • Assign maintenance and repair tasks to subordinates and supervise work.
  • Ensure records for all maintenance and repair jobs are completed.

SHEQ Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Section 14 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with all requirements of the Company's quality management system applicable to the position and activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified red seal fitter trade certificate with at least five years of trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Planning and scheduling of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Office and SAP.
