At Bright Search Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Data Management Officer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the data management function for clinical trials.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple studies at once while prioritizing competing demands.

A key aspect of this role is your ability to interpret clinical trial data and present insights to the clinical trial team. You must also possess excellent project management skills, including experience creating timelines and delivering results on time.

In addition to these core competencies, we are looking for someone who is an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage vendors effectively.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the data management function for clinical trials, ensuring high-quality data delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  2. Develop and implement data management plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including clinical operations, biostatistics, and medical writing.
  4. Collaborate with external partners, such as CROs and investigators, to ensure smooth trial execution.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including GCP, ICH, and FDA regulations.
  6. Plan and execute audits, inspections, and quality control activities to maintain data integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a health or science discipline, with experience in clinical research highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, with a focus on clinical trials.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple studies simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience creating timelines and delivering results on time.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interpret clinical trial data and present insights to the clinical trial team.
  • Experience working with Medidata RAVE and other clinical trial management systems.
  • Vendor management skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oncology therapeutic experience desired.
  • Experience working with SAS and SDTM datasets.
  • Advanced degree in a health or science discipline (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.).
