Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiopharmacy Pharmacist to join our team at Salesworx in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiopharmaceutical compounding and a deep understanding of GDP principles and radiation safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the procurement and handling of radio-pharmaceuticals and consumables, including liaison with suppliers and maintenance of electronic stock systems.
  • Ensure compliance with S21 legislation and facilitate the S21 approval process.
  • Perform radiopharmaceutical preparation, dispensing, QC, and packaging processes, ensuring adherence to package insert specifications and SOPs.
  • Review and maintain accurate records of dispensing activities, ensuring compliance with GDP requirements.
  • Process scripts accurately and efficiently, and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and root-cause analysis for radiopharmaceutical dispensing issues.
  • Ensure high-quality radiopharmaceuticals are prepared and meet GPP guidelines.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for pharmaceutical preparation and equipment use.
  • Implement effective waste management processes and ensure good practices are followed.
  • Respond to tender and quotation specifications as required.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in radiopharmaceutical compounding or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDP principles and radiation safety regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office package experience, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
  • Minimum B.Pharm degree.
  • Registration with the SAPC required.
  • Advanced relevant post-graduate studies or qualification in Radio-Pharmaceuticals will be an added advantage.
