Key Responsibilities

**Maintaining Professional Standards**
Maintain professional conduct and standards at all times in accordance with the South African Nursing Council.

**Interpersonal Relationships**
Promote and maintain good working and interpersonal relationships with management, patients, staff, visitors, doctors, and colleagues.

**Co-ordination and Organisation**
Co-ordinate nursing service activities with other departments and ensure that all working activities are coordinated to accommodate normal hospital routine.

**Documentation and Stock Management**
Ensure that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately, reflecting patient care, and ensure that all stock is charged appropriately.

**Scope of Practice**
Practice patient care according to the scope of practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.

Minimum Requirements

**Registration and Qualifications**
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse and a Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.

**Compliance and Experience**
Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse and all applicable healthcare legislation, and 2-3 years of work experience as an Enrolled Nurse within a private hospital in ICU.
