Job Title: Support Facilitator for Neurodivergent Child

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Facilitator for a neurodivergent child in Birdhaven, Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Autism and ADHD, and possess a calm and nurturing approach. They will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to the child, assisting with daily tasks, and helping to create a structured and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the child, addressing their unique needs and challenges
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as homework, organization, and time management
  • Help create a structured and engaging learning environment, incorporating the child's interests and strengths
  • Communicate effectively with the child's teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Tertiary qualification in education, psychology, or occupational therapy (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with neurodivergent children (essential)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults alike
