Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tradesperson to join our team as a Senior Artisan. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems, including wet services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on mechanical sub-systems (wet services).
  • Conducting fault-finding and diagnostic work on mechanical sub-systems (wet services).
  • Interpreting work instructions and drawings related to construction, alterations, modifications, enhancement maintenance, and operational projects.
  • Applying statutory principles to comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly reports using standard templates.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • a national trade test certificate in plumbing;
  • NQF5 or N4 technical qualification or equivalent qualification; and
  • three to five years' experience in a technical trade environment as a plumber.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • knowledge of high-rise and/or high-tech commercial office buildings;
  • experience in maintaining various types of plumbing-related components & systems regarding wet services.
