  • This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced underground electrical professional to utilise their skills and expertise in a dynamic environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of safety awareness, ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental standards, and performing electrical maintenance on all machinery underground.
  • As an Underground Electrical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, utilising your sound planning and organisational abilities to ensure effective task completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that section personnel comply with health and safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Perform electrical maintenance on all machinery underground.
  • Work overtime when required.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 and/or N2 qualification (NQF Level 3).
  • Electrical Trade Test certificate.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an underground environment.
  • Own transport and valid driver's license.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Good general health and a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket).
