Job Description

The Financial Manager will be responsible for leading the finance team, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow forecasts;
  • Providing sound financial advice to the CEO, contributing to the overall profitability of the company's operations;
  • Monitoring and controlling cash receipts and disbursements, implementing effective cash management strategies;
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports summarizing and forecasting the organization's financial position;
  • Managing assets, providing input for budgeting processes, and ensuring tax and regulatory compliance;
  • Overseeing debtors and creditors functions, reviewing cost centers, and maintaining accounting systems and controls;
  • Liaising with auditors, developing external relationships, and keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation;
  • Ensuring internal financial control procedures are maintained throughout the company.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as our Financial Manager, you will need:

  • A finance-related qualification (B Com Accounting/Finance Degree);
  • Postgraduate studies and affiliations with CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA being advantageous;
  • At least 5-7 years related experience in a similar role, including 3 years' managerial experience;
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Professionalism and high degree of ethics.
