Principal Accountabilities:
  • Management of personnel to ensure above-average performance
  • Ensure completion of customer reports, incident reports, checklists, and rosters
  • Schedule team members for training on request
  • Client satisfaction and formal investigations of complaints
  • Vehicle management, including fuel summaries and inspections
  • Monthly submission of documentation
  • Initiator at disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Special operational duties
  • Physical firearm inspection
  • Accounting for ammunition
  • Ensuring firearm licenses and competencies are valid
  • Inspecting and completing firearm permit books
  • Ensuring tactical vehicles are clean and well-maintained
Job Challenges:
  • Exceeding objectives and targets
  • Improving knowledge and skills of personnel
  • Preventing theft through discipline, training, and security systems
  • Supplying information to the Manager for site operational procedure improvements
Planning:
  • Planning completion of weekly or monthly reports
  • Planning performance reviews
  • Planning meetings
  • Planning scheduling of rosters on training requests
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and activities
  • Annual leave for personnel
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid and updated PSIRA Grade B Certificate (Grade A advantageous)
  • Neat and presentable at all times
  • Tactical Armed Response Experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid 3 Firearms Competency Certificate
  • Firearms Training Certificate for Business Purposes
  • 4-5 years' experience in security management
  • Not afraid of dogs
  • Good communicator and report writer
