Job Title: Senior System Analyst

Location: Eastern Cape (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 months

We're seeking a Systems Analyst to support our business by helping them transform operational objectives into business solutions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, unambiguous requirements and functional specifications, ensuring all end-to-end requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into high-level and detailed business requirements, working with the Development Team to convert them into feasible technical solutions.
  • Build business cases using modeling tools, cost-benefit analysis, and impact assessments to support or define cost-effective solutions.
  • Define functional and system specifications, supporting user and acceptance testing to ensure the built solution meets budget, quality, and customer needs.
  • Provide project managers with estimates, business cases, planning, risk identification, problem, and issue management to support the design and delivery of projects.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to create functional specifications and coordinate the delivery of their services.
  • Document business requirements, business processes, and system requirements, ensuring an accurate record.
  • Investigate, research, and propose new developments in technology that may be usefully applicable to the wider business to improve the current service.

Requirements:

  • B. Sc / B. Comm / B. Sc Eng degree or related diploma
  • A good understanding of Prince 2 or similar project methodologies
  • Has between 1- and 5-years experience working concurrently on several analysis engagements varying in size and complexity
  • Good understanding and experience of business process modeling
  • Experienced in both Waterfall and Agile development
  • Proven stakeholder management
  • Ability to interrogate Databases (SAP ORACLE)
  • Understanding of web technologies, relational databases, and SQL
  • Deep understanding of business and IS processes
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented approaches to Business Analysis, systems design, and data modeling using Use Case
  • Articulate and able to influence at senior management level, and lead effectively at working level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clearly articulating ideas, solutions, and recommendations across all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated with excellent time management skills and able to work under own initiative
  • Able and willing to take ownership of problems, issues, and proactively resolve them
