We are looking for a skilled Foundation Phase English teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality education and a desire to be part of a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students.
  2. Provide instruction in various subjects with interactive lesson plans and resources.
  3. Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop learning experiences and individualised behaviour and learning plans for all students.
  4. Lead weekly Social Emotional Learning circles and implement our customised curriculum.
  5. Implement behaviour management strategies aligned with our school culture.
  6. Administer assessments to track student progress and analyse data for growth.
  7. Focus on student achievement and drive scholars to meet required proficiency ratings.
  8. Submit student results data when required.
  9. Attend pre-service professional development and participate in regular training interventions.
  10. Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
  11. Nurture a high-achieving work environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  12. Participate in Saturday events and parent community meetings.
  13. Implement strategies from our Crisis Management team.
  14. Adhere to child protection, anti-bullying, and health and safety policies.
  15. Promote our vision and mission to staff, families, and the community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Certification through the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
  • SAQA accreditation for non-South African equivalent qualifications.
  • Fluency in English.
  • A clear criminal record.
