About the Role

Senwes is seeking an experienced Assistant Silo Manager to oversee the efficient intake, storage, and dispatching of grain. This key role involves ensuring accurate offloading and quality control of grain, as well as supervising the loading and sampling process. Regular inspections are conducted to maintain adherence to statutory regulations.

Candidates for this position must have a strong background in grain grading according to statutory requirements. Additionally, they must possess a National Senior Certificate and relevant courses in grading and fumigation. Three years' experience in the Grain Industry, with knowledge in crop estimates, testing and grading of grains, fumigation, and aeration, is also required.

  • Coordinate grain intake, storage, and dispatching processes.
  • Grade grain according to statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain efficient offloading and quality control procedures.
  • Supervise the loading and sampling of grain.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a National Senior Certificate and relevant courses in grading and fumigation. They must also possess three years' experience in the Grain Industry, with knowledge in crop estimates, testing and grading of grains, fumigation, and aeration. Strong negotiation and conflict management skills are also necessary for success in this role.
