Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer - Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at Manpower Group SA (Pty) Ltd.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing fire safety and compliance designs for multi-disciplinary construction projects across South Africa and abroad.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage small and medium-sized projects with minimal guidance, while managing large projects based on experience or as part of the company's fire design management team.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the mechanical building services environment.
• Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational building fire safety design, including the design of firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation systems, stair pressurization systems, and fire sprinkler systems.
• Experience in thermal modeling would be advantageous.
• Represent the company professionally in client meetings, site meetings, and surveys.
• Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and general project administration.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong MS Word and MS Excel skills.
• Be an individual who is driven by interesting and challenging project experiences and either already registered or keen to apply for ECSA professional registration status.

Requirements
Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 per annum.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • • A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Relevant certifications and registrations such as ECSA membership. • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, particularly in fire safety design. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills.
