Job Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center is one of the premier cardiovascular programs in Central Massachusetts. We are a tertiary-care teaching hospital with active programs in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, cardiac surgery, and structural heart disease.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of professional acumen beyond clinical skills. The successful candidate will be expected to spend 20% of their clinical time in the outpatient setting and 80% of their clinical time working in the EP lab, device interrogation, and performing consults.

About the Role
  • Lead our highly successful Electrophysiology program, which performs over 3,500 total EP procedures per year, including 550 ablations and 570 device implants.
  • Maintain a high level of academic and clinical excellence, with a focus on program development, quality initiatives, and teaching/mentoring/research activities.
  • Work closely with our EP Fellowship program, hosting 2 fellows per year, to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.
  • Pursue research opportunities to advance the field of electrophysiology and improve patient outcomes.
