Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Director to join our team at Skills Connector.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing finances, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial transactions, accountancy matters, and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Formulate annual budgets in accordance with the company's strategy and oversee the preparation of financial statements.
  • Risk Management: Monitor compliance against company policies regarding capital requirements, hedging, debt, taxation, equity, and acquisitions.
  • Cash Management: Oversee overall cash management, both operational and hedging related, on an ongoing basis.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance to the Managing Director and Senior Management on financial matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (SA).
  • Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
  • Registration with relevant professional body recommended.
  • Advanced knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
  • At least 7 years of experience in financial management, including 4 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proven strategic leadership experience in leading a finance team, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Corporate governance and risk management solid understanding and practical experience in ensuring compliance with legal regulations, risk management, and corporate governance frameworks.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience engaging with senior stakeholders such as the Board of Directors, auditors, and external partners.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

In addition to the salary, the successful candidate can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
