Key Responsibilities- Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands, ensuring smooth day and night shift operations.
- Staff Management: Supervise and manage a team of approximately 100 people, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of housekeeping, health, and safety on-site.
- Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to troubleshoot technical issues on the shop floor, maintaining self-sufficiency in operational decision-making.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise directly with customers when required, handling problem-solving and customer relations.
- Education: Degree, Diploma, or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering with relevant managerial experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing and production industry, preferably with exposure to the mining, agriculture, or construction sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading complex engineering drawings, skilled in the use of measuring equipment, and familiarity with metal machining processes such as turning, milling, and heat treatment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong background in manufacturing and production processes, production planning, and goal-setting abilities.
- Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and employment laws.
