Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll administrators to resolve queries and escalate to Payroll Manager if unable to resolve.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes and procedures.
- Review third-party payments for Payroll Manager to sign-off.
- Prepare and consolidate statutory returns for Payroll Manager to sign-off (Africa & RSA).
- Support the Payroll Manager as a Subject-Matter-Expert on Tax, Accounting and System related requirements for payroll (RSA, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswathini, Namibia).
- Review variance reports in preparation for final payroll sign-off by the Payroll Manager.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll reconciliations per brand, per country.
- Assist Payroll Manager with the internal and external payroll audits across all RSA & African entities.
- Coordinate payroll activities to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
This role requires a degree/diploma in payroll administration/finance management and at least 3 years of experience in processing multiple payrolls. Strong multinational tax knowledge is essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite. SAP experience is preferred.
