\Job Description\

The Procurement Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and economical procurement of goods and services, while adhering to Basic Employment Equity and Supply Chain Management requirements.

  2. To provide support services that guarantee optimal procurement processes.\
  3. To procure goods and services as needed.\
  4. To create and generate purchase requisitions/orders/goods received notes (GRN).\
  5. To assist with the tendering process.\
  6. To ensure that all assets and risks are adequately insured.\
  7. To manage insurance claims.\
  8. To arrange for courier services.\
  9. To assess the correctness of requests regarding deviations, variations of contracts, condonations, and use of consultants.\
  10. To manage registers for deviations, variations of contracts, condonations, procurement less than R00 and consultants.\
  11. All other SCM functions.\\/ol\[p]Required Skills and Qualifications\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  2. National Senior / Matric certificate.\
  3. Two-three years of relevant work experience within a procurement/financial environment, preferably public sector.\
  4. Experience in eLAA, Syspro, and Excel is strongly recommended.\
  5. A Degree/Diploma in finance, procurement or supply chain.\
  6. A sophisticated collaborative style, together with good communication skills.\\/ol\[p]
