The Trade Support Co-ordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our trading operations in Lobito Atlantic Rail. This position requires expertise in trade operations, logistics, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the operational side of Service Agreement Contracts between Trafigura and other party locations in Africa is managed effectively.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses or directly to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation routes to minimize costs and delivery times while adhering to regulations.
  • Identify and select suitable carriers or freight forwarders based on cost, efficiency, and reliability, and negotiate contracts and rates.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation and logistics expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize logistics processes.
  • Implement process enhancements to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research and provide insights to inform trading strategies.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in trading physical products, preferably in a leading trading house.
  • Analytical and commercial thinking.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Degree level (or equivalent) in engineering, economics, or business.
