Overview:

Our main focus is in mining and exploration activities spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals.

About the Job:

This position will be responsible for managing drilling services projects, coordinating with clients and operations personnel, and ensuring EHS and operational excellence. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of Drilling Services, including different drilling disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage drilling services projects from inception to completion.
  2. Coordinate with clients and operations personnel to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned with contractual obligations and scope of work.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and operations personnel.
  4. Handle difficult situations with professionalism to find effective solutions to challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
  5. Act as a liaison between the Company and clients to ensure all needs are met across drilling disciplines.
  6. Coordinate regular meetings with clients to review needs and objectives while championing operations teams and the Company.
  7. Lead and influence team culture focused on safety and driving improvements.
  8. Influence a sense of continuity among divisions with a client-focused approach.
  9. Collaborate with teams to ensure EHS and other compliance standards are being met across divisions – to include site inspections/inductions, FLRAs, etc.
  10. Anticipate problems, barriers, or conflicts and work with operation leadership and clients to implement solutions.
  11. Approach areas for improvement with a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
  12. Ensure relevant operational systems, processes, and practices exist, are understood, and applied consistently throughout the project.
  13. Connect the interface between operational requirements and EHS systems, processes, and practices so that statutory, company, and client requirements are met.
  14. Provide guidance on operational and safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or related field, such as Geology, Mine Engineering OR 7 years of applicable experience in the Drilling Services/Mining Industry.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and coordination in the Drilling Services Industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of Drilling Services in its entirety, to include different drilling disciplines.
  • Extensive background in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a safety-focused team culture.
  • Must have strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and collaborative approach to address challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members across divisions, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, with a commitment to upholding company values.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
