About the Role:

The National Warehouse Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations nationwide. This position requires a strategic leader who can optimize supply chain processes, improve inventory management, and ensure coordination between branches and head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Create and execute plans to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage daily activities across all warehouse and supply chain functions, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of goods.
  • Lead Integration Efforts: Coordinate logistics, transportation, customer service, and inventory management to meet company objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and internal departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations regarding warehousing, shipping, and transportation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives leveraging technology and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Budget: Prepare and manage the supply chain budget, focusing on cost-effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-site operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a national or large regional supply chain.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams across different locations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to ensure coordination and oversight of national operations.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is around R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
