We are looking for an experienced Electrician to fill a mid-level position at Synlec (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and commissioning electrical systems in an industrial environment.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial electrical work, including experience with electrical testing and commissioning procedures. They should also be able to supervise junior electricians and provide guidance and oversight to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
This role requires extensive site work, often in remote locations, and the ability to work within a diverse and dynamic team.
- Key Responsibilities: Install and wire electrical equipment, systems, and components on industrial plant sites (motors, control panels, power distribution, lighting, etc.). Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, diagnose faults or malfunctions, and carry out necessary repairs.
- Requirements: Red Seal certified Electrician (Trade Test passed), 3-5 years of post-qualification experience with industrial electrical installations and maintenance in a plant or heavy-industry environment.
