Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor material and price variances, compare budget Bills of Materials (BOMs) to actual budgets, and report on monthly variances.
  • Budget Development: Develop and maintain accurate budgets, including all costs, and ensure that they are aligned with the company's financial goals.
  • Costing Models: Analyze and improve costing models to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Project Budgeting: Determine project budgets, including all costs, and ensure that they are aligned with the company's financial goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting areas of improvement and opportunities for cost savings.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, experience with SYSPRO, and a strong understanding of BOMs.
  • Qualification: A degree or diploma in Cost and Management Accounting or equivalent.
