About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Job Description

As a Senior Audit Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring audit quality across all engagement files. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing Second Line of Defense (2LoD) reviews on selected engagement files in line with global policies and programs.
  • Liaising with DPP, Risk Management, and Quality Performance Liaison Partner (QPLP) teams to identify risk areas for focus.
  • Discussing and reporting findings from 2LoD reviews to engagement teams, including Partners and EQCRs.
  • Assisting engagement audit teams with guidance and coaching on audit methodology, policies, and standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of audit engagement review experience post-articles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
