About the Role

The Web Application Specialist will play a critical role in our software development team, focusing on modernizing and improving our web applications. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, analyzing, debugging, and optimizing existing legacy systems to ensure reliability and performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the context and nuances of legacy systems and document, refactor, and optimize legacy codebases while minimizing disruption to business operations.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks. You will also have the opportunity to participate in code reviews and technical discussions, learning about the assigned applications. In addition, you will assist and learn to implement best practices for CI/CD, telemetry, observability, and containerization where appropriate.

As a successful Web Application Specialist, you will have:
  • • 3+ years of professional software development experience
    • Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and RESTful services
    • Strong experience with vanilla JavaScript
    • Experience with TypeScript
    • Experience with AngularJS
    • Familiarity with Entity Framework or other ORM tools
    • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures
    • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
    • Demonstrable experience in using AI tooling in the context of legacy code to increase code quality and productivity
    • Unit test and test automation experience
