About the Opportunity

E and D Recruiters is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Lead to lead our Mechanical design team.

Job Details

This is a leadership position within our design environment, requiring a strong managerial skillset and passion for Mechanical design. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in Mechanical design engineering, including a minimum of 5 years in a lead/managerial role.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage Mechanical design engineers and act as a mentor, with a B Eng. Degree or B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong 3D CAD experience is essential, and the ability to work with a USA client base is required.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Direct and guide design engineers on technical issues and manage project/task timelines to ensure milestones are reached.
  • Customer Interface: Establish and prioritize the utilization of design resources and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Design Reviews: Organize and lead internal design reviews to ensure designs are properly checked and lead design reviews with customers and suppliers.
  • Technical Soundness: Take responsibility for the technical soundness and compliance of designs to customer and engineering standards.
Requirements
  • Education: B Eng. Degree or B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical design engineering, including a minimum of 5 years in a lead/managerial role.
  • Skills: Strong 3D CAD experience and the ability to work with a USA client base.
