Compensation Package:
The estimated salary for this position ranges from R1 200 000 to R1 800 000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect a range of benefits, including medical aid, retirement fund contributions, and paid leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Azure technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Microsoft Azure services and optimized cost offerings.
  • Create and manage platform on the company Azure infrastructure using ARM, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Implement logging & monitoring into Datadog to ensure smooth operation of the Azure platform.
  • Define & manage service-level metrics such as SLIs SLOs SLAs using Datadog logging & monitoring.
  • Handle incidents & outages, restores services, and performs post-incident & root cause analysis.
  • Own FinOps & Capacity Planning to optimize spending and scalability, and review opportunities.
  • Deliver continuous improvement of recipes, scripts, and templates for reproducible deployments.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Platform Engineer, DevOps, SRE or Backend Engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • 3+ years of experience working with CI pipelines (Azure DevOps, Azure).
  • Proficiency with ARM, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Proficiency in writing production-quality bash scripts.
  • Proficiency with FinOps and services plans.
