Job Title: Millwright Specialist

NDC Personnel & Contractors CC is seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team in the Eastern Cape. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plant equipment, including machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and develop proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to prioritize tasks and optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Valid Millwright trade test certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on plant maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs and automation technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with production staff and other maintenance teams.
